How to reach Zagreb

By Air

Zagreb Franjo Tuđman Airport (ZAG) is ~15 km from the city centre.

Shuttle Bus and Local Bus

        • Airport shuttle (Pleso prijevoz) runs airport ↔ Zagreb Central Bus Station (Autobusni kolodvor). Journey ~35–40 min; tickets are currently €8 one-way (buy online or from the driver).
        • City bus (ZET line 290) runs Airport ↔ Kvaternikov trg (Kvatrić), continuing to Velika Gorica. It’s a regular city line with ZET tickets (from ~€1–€2 depending on duration/zone).

By Taxi or Ride-Sharing
Airport taxis post sample/flat rates on the airport site (e.g., Airport → City Centre ~€33.50; → Main Bus Station ~€28).

Private Transfer
Pre-booked door-to-door transfers are available from several providers if you prefer a fixed fare and meet-and-greet.

By Road

Driving
Zagreb is linked by motorways A1 (south–coast), A2 (from Slovenia/Maribor), A3 (east–west bypass) and A4 (from Hungary). Croatia uses distance-based tolls (no vignette); pay at exits or via the ENC electronic toll device.

By Intercity Bus
Most buses arrive at Autobusni kolodvor (Avenija Marina Držića 4). From there, tram line 6 goes to Ban Josip Jelačić Square in about 10–12 min; several other tram lines also serve the stop “Autobusni kolodvor”.
